Operational strengths
Container selection matched to the cargo rather than to habit, and packing advice before stuffing — because most sea freight damage is decided before the box is sealed.
Sea freight
Ocean freight with flexible container options, global routing and customs handling — for full container loads and for smaller consignments that do not fill a container.
What we offer
Sea freight carries the overwhelming majority of world trade by volume because, for anything heavy or bulky that is not in a hurry, nothing else comes close on cost per tonne. The trade-off is time, and the planning that time demands.
We book the container, prepare the documentation and arrange customs clearance at both ends, so the quote covers the journey rather than just the ocean leg. Where only part of a consignment is urgent we will say so, and move that part by air instead.
Full container loads, and consolidated space for consignments that do not fill a container.
Routing options across our agent network, with the sailing schedule confirmed up front.
Bill of lading, commercial invoice and packing list prepared and checked before the cargo moves.
Clearance arranged alongside the booking at both origin and destination.
Industries on this service
Sea freight suits dense, heavy and high-volume cargo. These are the sectors that most often move this way.
Container selection matched to the cargo rather than to habit, and packing advice before stuffing — because most sea freight damage is decided before the box is sealed.
The lowest cost per tonne of any mode, provided the lead time is planned for. We will tell you the point at which the saving stops being worth the wait.
Freight and customs handled together, backed by an agent network across more than 100 countries and by a founder with over 20 years in shipping and logistics.
How it works
You send the origin, destination, volume or container type and the required date. We confirm the routing and book the space.
Cargo is collected, stuffed or delivered to the consolidation point, and the documentation is prepared and checked.
The container sails on the booked service. We track its progress and tell you about any schedule change.
Customs clearance at destination, then the final road leg to the receiving door and confirmation of delivery.
Why Pluz Logistics
On a long ocean lead time, the things that go wrong are documentation and handovers rather than the voyage itself. That is where a forwarder earns its fee.
Transparent pricing
We separate the charges we control from the statutory ones we collect and pass on, so you can see where the money goes and compare quotes on the same basis.
The exact lines depend on the routing, the commodity and the destination. We confirm them in writing before anything is booked.
Based on the container type or the chargeable volume, and the booked service.
Road leg to the port, plus terminal handling and, for LCL, consolidation.
Bill of lading and the accompanying paperwork.
Preparing and filing the entry at destination.
Terminal handling and the final road leg to the door.
Set by the authorities, collected and passed on at cost.

Most shipments use more than one of these. Tell us the whole journey and we will quote it as one.

Your cargo managed from documentation through customs.

Questions
The questions we are asked most often about this service.
FCL, or full container load, books an entire container for a single consignment. LCL, or less than container load, consolidates cargo from several shippers into one container so you pay only for the space you use. FCL generally suits larger volumes and gives you the container to yourself; LCL suits shipments that do not fill a container, at the cost of extra handling at the consolidation and deconsolidation points.
Ocean transit time depends entirely on the lane, the service and the number of transhipments, so there is no single answer. We quote the schedule for your specific routing, including the sailing frequency, and tell you what the realistic door-to-door window is rather than only the port-to-port leg.
A sea shipment normally travels against a bill of lading, together with a commercial invoice and a packing list. Depending on the commodity and the destination you may also need a certificate of origin, licences or permits, and declarations specific to the goods. We confirm the exact set before booking.
Yes. Customs clearance is one of our core services and is arranged alongside the ocean booking, so the documentation and the clearance are handled together rather than left to you to coordinate separately.
Let's talk
Send the lane, the volume or container type and the date it needs to arrive. We will come back with the routing, the schedule and an itemised quotation.
